The Itsy Bitsy Pristine Sparkle Challenge

It's time for another challenge here at Itsy Bitsy and this time we want to see the magic you can create with the most pure and basic of colours - White! It's a beautiful, natural and almost divine colour and the potential of it is just limitless. So we want to see what you come up with using white and ONLY white. Of course we can't resist a bit of bling, so we're accepting silver in your white only creations. Here's a picture collage of the colour scheme we're looking for:

Once again we are inviting entries in 2 categories - Jewellery Making and Everything Else. Everything else includes paper crafting, general craft, embroidery, painting and any other creation that does not involve jewellery, as long as it's hand made. And of course we've got some fabulous inspiration for you.

For Jewellery Making our designers at Itsy Bitsy put together is absolutely stunning jewellery set using a variety of Itsy Bitsy beads, fillers, findings and accessories. It perfectly showcases the fabulous potential of white and the silver links offer just the right touch of bling - don't you think!

Here's a closeup of the amazing details. So intricate, so delicate and full of Pristine Sparkle!

For paper crafting, I made something I've been meaning to do for some time. It's dining labels - labels on which you write the names of the dishes you will be serving  at a dinner/ lunch party. It's much easier to have these available for guests to read for themselves rather than to tell everyone individually what everything is, whether it's vegetarian or not and so on.

For my project, I started with the Spellbinders Borderabilities die with some white handmade paper card stock to create that lovely ornate border for my dining labels. Then I used the Itsy Bitsy white Brides Wish Open Roses along with some handmade roses made with the Swirly Rose die to create that floral embellishment on the corner. I added a border of pearls and a small detachable label in the centre on which I could write what I would be serving. Here's a collage of different views of the dining labels including a closeup where you can see the amazing embossing properties of the Spellbinders Die

Here are the rules of the challenge:

  10. A really tough challenge.. Your inspirations are totally gorgeous!

Very very difficult to match up with these.. Will give it a try though..

I have a question.. Is black allowed for stamping sentiments?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yes you can use black to stamp sentiments only. And Vithya, it's not so tough. Just create a card like you normally would but only use white. It's a good idea to use different shades of white too. You'll rock it, you'll see!
